My work focuses on attention to detail (listening for background noises, mis-reads, as well as technical glitches) and ensuring the narrator’s completed audio matches the author’s words.  Additionally, I bring any errors or necessary corrections found in the script to the narrator and/or author’s attention.  Combining a past career in legal transcript work with a love of voiceover, a natural fit was to proof listen to narration and provide feedback.  I’m passionate about ensuring that narrators I work for receive their list of corrections in a timely manner to meet publishing deadlines.  I have worked with independent narrators, various publishing companies, and have been a member of Podium Audio’s proofing team since 2010.  I follow all rules of non-disclosure agreements as outlined by the publishers or independent narrators.  I have trained other individuals to proof books and they have begun successful proofing careers of their own.   I often attend voiceover/audiobook workshops to learn more about the narration of audiobooks in order to keep my skills updated.  I have attended several workshops hosted by Johnny Heller, as well as assisted at voiceover conferences such as Mid-Atlantic VoiceOver (MAVO) and will be assisting at VOAtlanta and Readers Take Denver in 2024. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering at celebrity events, collecting autographed books and crafting.
